Fresh innovation

Ringway Jacobs is always looking for fresh innovation that will help to enhance their fleet – making them safer for employees and more environmentally friendly.

Working together

Dave Bonehill, Head of Fleet and Plant at Ringway Jacobs, contacted Versalift to find out more about our new electric platform, the E-Tech. Dave liked the idea of a fully electric platform that will help prolong the life of a vehicle, reduce carbon emissions and make night work quieter. After receiving a demonstration of the unit, and further understanding of the benefits of the E-Tech, Dave wanted to be involved.

“Ringway Jacobs are proud to be putting the first Versalift Electric Hoist into our Contract with Essex Highways with a further five on order. Each vehicle is estimated to provide a carbon saving of around 960kg a year and around £6k saving in fuel costs.”

Order of six units

For their Essex contract, working on the Highways, Ringway Jacobs ordered six E-Tech’s on  Mercedes Sprinters Chassis’.

Delivery of the first unit

Delivery of the first unit has now been received and Chris Wrenn, Head of Sales at Versalift, visited Ringway Jacobs at their Depot in Chelmsford to carry out a familiarisation session with several Ringway Jacobs employees.
