Harness Training

The safety of an operator is paramount when using a Mobile Elevated Work Platform; an effective way to encourage safe working practice is harness training. Versalift offer a half day course covering the safe use, fitting and inspection of safety harnesses. Delegates must hold a current IPAF PAL card.

It is strongly recommended that a full body harness with adjustable lanyard (adjusted to its shortest length) is used when working in a boom type MEWP. Many unnecessary accidents have been caused by operators being catapulted from boom platforms because they were not wearing a harness, don't be one of them!

Clunk Click: The campaign for lives

Clunk Click is a worldwide campaign from IPAF calling for all users of boom type platforms to wear a full body harness with a short restraint lanyard attached to a suitable anchor point.
