City Range - All-electric and Semi-electric

This new range of environmentally friendly Versalift access platforms includes 'All-electric' and 'Semi-electric', allowing companies to choose the installation that best suits their operational needs.

All-electric

The new Versalift 'City Range' is the first in Europe where both the lift and chassis are electrically powered for the complete low emission solution to city operation. A key significance of the all-electric is the virtually silent operation of the lift and vehicle which would facilitate working in sensitive residential areas and opens up the possibility of extending operational hours; this is in addition of course to the environmentally friendly nature of its low emissions.

Semi-electric

The semi-electric platform has electric boom operation but mounted on a standard diesel or hybrid van or chassis, so can be used for a wider range of applications. Once on site the operator switches off the vehicle engine, so there is no need to run the engine for the PTO, keeping noise levels and emissions down, facilitating the most environmentally friendly operation possible. Should the battery ever run down whilst on site working you simply start the engine, engage the PTO and carry on!

XTreme Range - Insulated Semi-electric

The new Versalift 'Xtreme Range' is designed to offer the user of heavy duty Insulated machines such as the VST models, a semi-electric vehicle mounted aerial platform, where the platform is electric and the donor vehicle can be a normally powered HGV chassis or specialist 4x4. The system then allows the operator to switch off their vehicles engine once arrived on site, so that there is no need to run the engine for the PTO, keeping noise levels and emissions down.

For maximum efficiency and minimum weight, Lithium-ion technology has been used in the design, this allows for each installation to be tailored to the operational cycle times of the user. The batteries can be charged over night via 2/3 phase electric connection or a 'recharge whilst drive system' is available for extended away from depot operations.
